Zebra welcomes new client Barnstondale
(Posted on 22/12/14)
We are delighted to be working with our latest third sector client, Barnstondale – an inclusive adventure and activity centre situated in the heart of rural Wirral. The charity provides activities that cater to all abilities and needs of visitors, as well as being an overnight getaway destination with three cosy American Style Log Cabins.
Our role is to provide PR support, to help raise awareness of the facility within the local and wider area. In the few short months that we have been working with Barnstondale, we are already beginning to see some great PR results for the charity. Most recently, volunteer John Earp won the Contribution to the Community award at Wirral Globe’s Unsung Heroes Awards.
We were introduced to Barnstondale through our work with Stick ‘n’ Step, which regularly takes groups of children to the centre for overnight getaways. Barnstondale’s Meadow cabin is ideal for Stick ‘n’ Step, because it’s been designed specifically to cater for the needs of those with a disability.
Barnstondale isn’t the only third sector organisation that came to hear about us through our involvement with Stick ‘n’ Step. We began working with Wirral Mencap in late June, after the charity noticed that Stick ‘n’ Step was often featured in the local newspapers. Wirral Mencap wanted a service that would suit its limited budget, but that could still help maximise its potential for gaining coverage. We are a very flexible business and we’re happy to accommodate all of our clients’ needs, so we developed a package that would work for Wirral Mencap. So far, the work we have done for the charity has been a great success and there has been a gradual increase in the level of coverage generated locally.
